Our Changing World visits Project Tongariro

Back in May, we had the pleasure of hosting Claire Concannon from RNZ’s Our Changing World as she spent the day exploring some of our wetland and riparian restoration sites.

The first episode from her visit has just gone live – and it’s a beauty! Claire joins Nick Singers at one of our wetland restoration sites, where he explains the ongoing battle against invasive grey willow, and meets Shirley Potter at her local patch in Tauranga-Taupō, where she’s been leading riparian planting efforts with her usual ‘let’s get stuck in’ attitude.

Listen here:

This episode is a celebration of the many hands and hearts behind our wetland restoration and riparian planting projects. A big thank you to Nick, Shirley, and the wider team who support these efforts - and to Claire Concannon and the Our Changing World crew for taking the time to walk alongside us.

Stay tuned, the second episode, featuring Greening Taupō and Kids Greening Taupō, will be available next week!
