Health and Safety Project Tongariro Personnel

Health & Safety.png

Project Tongariro does not have a full time office member to keep tally of various people & their activities. All personnel, interns, contractors and volunteers are responsible for arranging their own log out /log in procedures. This may be with Project Tongariro personnel, but in most circumstances a family member or friend may be more appropriate as the PT office is not occupied every day. Choose a reliable person. Basic requirements are that you tell them when to expect you home, and what procedures to  follow if your plans do not play out. You also should take with you a cell phone, water, food and appropriate wet weather gear. Please wear PT high- vis- vest and a personal locator Beacon is avaliable on request. Just be prepared! Discuss emergency procedures with Kiri.
