There is lots to catch you up on! We’ve been out planting thousands of natives, sharing our story with Claire Concannon from RNZ’s Our Changing World, and keeping things moving behind the scenes with planning, end-of-financial-year reporting, and Tongariro Journal writing.

In this issue, we’re excited to announce our AGM weekend will be held 21-23 November 2025 at the Forest & Bird Ruapehu Lodge, Whakapapa Village. We’re also sharing two fantastic Our Changing World podcast episodes that feature our mahi, recaps from our community planting days at Oruatua Recreation Reserve, and a reminder to mark your calendars for our Raetihi community planting day happening in October.

We’re also pleased to confirm that Project Tongariro is now officially re-registered under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.

Annual General Meeting

We’re thrilled to be returning to the Forest & Bird Ruapehu Lodge, Whakapapa Village for this year’s Annual General Meeting. Save the date and join us for a weekend of events kicking off on Friday 21 November, with the AGM taking place at 4pm on Saturday 22 November, followed by our annual raffle and dinner.
