Our partners
These organisations and businesses are active supporters of Project Tongariro's work. Their dedication to our work and the Tongariro National Park opens up opportunities for you to participate in our conservation and education work. We gratefully acknowledge their help and look forward to continuing the partnerships.
Department of Conservation
By enabling us to become involved in their work and providing opportunities for volunteer input and financial assistance, we are complementing each other's work and together achieve results for Tongariro National Park.
Visit www.doc.govt.nz for more information or to view their online calendar of volunteer's activities throughout New Zealand.
Land Rover
Land Rover, in association with Project Tongariro (Tongariro Natural History Society), has established a unique environmental protection programme that directly benefits Tongariro National Park.
The society will receive a financial contribution of the estimated cost for protecting a hectare of national park from Motorcorp Distributors Ltd, the New Zealand importer of Land Rover, each time a new Land Rover is sold through an Authorised Land Rover Centre.
Globally, Land Rover is committed to addressing the challenges of sustainable development. Through ‘Project Tongariro’, Land Rover aims to minimise its environmental footprint in New Zealand and make a positive contribution.
New Zealand Trust for Conservation Volunteers
This Charitable Trust provides a national and regional database of conservation projects and keeps a list of volunteers and their availability. Check out www.conservationvolunteers.org.nz for more information.
